You, Me, 5 Bucks and Good Conversation

Friends, The bottom line is friends come and go just as often as the men and/or women we're sleeping with come and go. The trick is to keep the good ones as long as the universe allows us and enjoy their company. After high school ended lots of us drifted away from each other, whether because of a fight, the distance, an inappropriate request, or cause of change it is nearly impossible to keep every you'd like to keep in your life. Granted most of us had a bunch of people that after high school we never ever wanted to see again (these are the ones that happen to end up going to the same college as you and say hi to you every time you see them in the halls) but there are some people you'd like to keep in you life, who either don't feel the same or because of the situation you find it impossible to continue your friendship. One of the biggest things we all realize after high school ends is just how many friends we have based solely on geography. Think about it, half the people you hung out with in high school you hung out with because you went to the same high school. you went on the same bus, you had the same classes. So of course your going to ended up being friends. Only when you no longer have to see them or spend half an hour on a sweaty bus with them every day do you realize they either weren't that cool or that your friendship was based on nothing but getting drunk together and gossiping about the ugly french chicks in your home ec. class. On the bright side friendships change, they grow, they pass, they come back. Sure there are people you probably will be firends with for most of your life, but be realistic, nothing is forever, get used to it. So while you have your frieds, cherish them, be honest, be random, be yourself. They're like having a really cool fun family that you can get trashed with.
